The audiobook is narrated dual style by two incredibly talented narrators: Desirée Ketchum and Connor Crais, which is a delight because you get them for 16 hours. Desirée’s voice and performance are amazing. She voices Brinley with touches of vulnerability, strength and a lot of sass. Her Kai is absolutely adorable. Connor goes to town as Silas (and all the other Crows), showing their loyalty to each other and  Silas’s protectiveness of Brinley and of his family. He’s particularly good in portraying Silas’s father, making your skin crawl!

This is a quintessential AL Jackson book, so you know you get the irresistible morally gray men, the sassy heroine, the cutest little boy, secrets from the past, found family and gasping moments of revelation. And HEA is obviously a guarantee.
