Thanks, Chelsea and @netgalley for the ARC.

Quincy and Sebastian have known each other for ages, She’s his sister’s best friend. They went to school AND college together and they’re been riling each other up ever since. Total rivals since they met. Now, Sebastian is a TV weatherman in NYC and Quincy has a successful online show with millions of followers.

To her dismay, she finds out Sebastian is coming home to Florida for ‘hurricane season’. And to her utter surprise, they’re soon chasing storms (and a coveted job) together.

But the biggest storm of all is caused by the butterflies that alarmingly decided to take residence in her stomach ever since Sebby came home. What the hell…

This was my first Chelsea Curto and I loved it! I love a good ‘women in STEM’ story and Quincy is (pardon the pun) a force of nature: amazing scientist, funny, sassy . The kind of woman you want as a friend. Now, Sebby is the most unexpected green flag. You’d think the NYC TV weatherman heartthrob would have to be sold to us as book boyfriend material, but oh boy is he swoony. The man carries ketchup packets in his pockets because Quincy drenches everything in it.

The banter is top notch and  the storm chasing is riveting. You do get the expected misogyny towards the woman scientist but every time Sebastian is involved, he passes the ‘supporter’ test with flying colors.

What you get: a sassy, competent doctor of atmospheric sciences, a hunky TV weatherman who’s searching for more meaning in his life, banter , Truth of Dare, scary moments, Waffle House, ketchup as a love language, game nights, storm chasing, mutual support, a man obsessed, a true ‘it’s always been you’ story and a sweet HEA.

Oh, and no third act nonsense!
