Thanks, @natashamauthor for the copies.
Theo Williams has been enjoying bachelorhood. He has loved and lost (spectacularly) and he’s not interested in falling in love again. EVER. He’s happy and content living and working in Montgavin. Then he stops by the side of the road to help a woman change a flat tire. He follows her home for her safety, one thing leads to another… and he leaves surreptitiously in the morning.
Collins has the ‘trash’ equivalent of a scarlet letter on her back because of her parents. Due to their shady schemes, her family is known in town as people who can’t be trusted . She works her tail off as a paramedic and tries to stay away from any kind of trouble. So, it was so not like her to cave and spend the night with Theo. But she’s not surprised he left. However… he left with a partying gift: two lines in a positive pregnancy test a few weeks later.
When they meet again by chance during one of her calls, she finally has a way to tell him. She doesn’t want anything from him but soon he is showing up with groceries to cook meals for her and doing everything he can to make her life easier. But cans she let herself fall for the guy when her life is constantly upended by her crooked parents?
The audiobook is narrated dual style by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton. Samamtha’s performance is spot on as the determined, tired but hopeful Collins, who keeps getting her rug pulled from under her by her parents. She’s also absolutely amazing doing double duty playing her version of ‘Teddy speak’! And who better to portray the greenest of green flags than Teddy? His Theo is an absolute cinnamon roll whom we just can’t resist!
What you get: a determined parade from the ‘wrong side of town’, the swooniest unexpected future dad whose love language is acts of service, shady parents, found family and a town that shows up for one of their own (when they don’t know they will get the support) and the sweetest HEA.
Content notes (including but not limited to): accidental pregnancy, toxic relationship with parents. A side character is shot.
