Adam Foley and Kate Pogue hate each other. They’ve competed for ice time at the local skating rink since high school. She’s a grumpy, big-mouthed former figure skater who never competed nationally. He’s a former NHL player whose injury turned him in the captain of a local beer league team. Kate and her brothers have a hockey podcast and Kate’s favorite topic of discussion is roasting the Icebreakers’ center. One of these even goes viral! 

They tease and chirp each other and well, everyone can see it but them. So when her family decides to ‘buy’ Adam for her in a charity auction… yeah, you can imagine how that goes. 

Another fun and hilarious ‘idiots to lovers’ in the Quick Pucks series, this is full of banter and so much pent up attraction that you are afraid they will spontaneously combust! 

As with the other ones, I couldn’t resist getting the audiobook and we get a delightful surprise. Narrated in dual style by Rose Dioro and Ryan west, who excel at all the banter, the humor and the steam. The bonus surprise is the multitalented Rose hitting all the high notes singing a cappella! A total must! 

What you get: a classic ‘everyone can see it but them’, a former figure skater and occasional podcaster with a mouth on her, a former NHL player who brought the NHL vibes to the beer league, questionable team logos, meddling family members and all the 10 Things I Hate About You vibes.

Goal two in this game… I suspect this series is a hat trick!
