Book blurb:
What do you do when you discover that your super-hot blind date from months ago is now your super-hot Russian Lit professor?

You overthink everything and pray for a swift end to your misery, of course!

‘Kissing Tolstoy’ is the first book in the Dear Professor series, is 46k words, and can be read as a standalone. A shorter version of this story (28k words) was entitled ‘Nobody Looks Good in Leather Pants’ and was available via Penny Reid’s newsletter over the course of 2017.

The story is really nice. I come from academia, so I liked to see how they would work out. I liked the discussions about Literature and it all sounded real.
This is an age- gap story romance between a teacher and a student in college. There is a ten year gap between them. However, they do discuss the power balance in the relationship and it is done in a healthy way.

I really really hate to say what I am saying next:

I started this with the audiobook; however, I had to switch to reading for most chapters. I hate to say this, but the narration is cringeworthy. It feels like the female narrator (though I see enormous potential in her) has just started doing this and the male narrator shows either a monotone voice or is so over the top I had to switch to reading.
Don’t pass on the book, though. It’s a fun read!
