A few years after a solar flare created havoc in the world and left wormholes everywhere, we find Celeste Varich and Everett Ludlow going on a trip to an island in search of the same wormhole at the same time. They never met, they both have distinct reasons why they are there and both are determined to go through this wormhole and achieve their goals. 

But the wilderness, the inability to communicate with the mainland, and wormholes opening up willy nilly push them together. And soon they will find out that there might be forces working behind the scenes to make that happen. Including a cute and clever dog! 

It’s heartfelt, whimsical, swoony and fun! 

The audiobook is an immersive experience, performed with a full cast, music and special effects. The cast is captained by Emily Bader and Lewis Pullman, whose voice is sometimes so earily similar to a popular narrator’s that it made my ears perk and ask him, “did you narrate this?!” He didn’t.). It doesn’t take at all from the performance as he does have an amazing voice. But it was weird.  LOL

All in all, good fun and a short audiobook for a lazy afternoon,
