Bass Bennet thought his life was finally giving him a break: his restaurant is thriving, his baby sister is graduating form a prestigious school and his friends are finding love. 

Everything changes when Briar waltzes into town wanting to buy him out of his restaurant. Her company has bought all properties around it and he knows he’ll eventually have to leave but he has time. He doesn’t count on the ‘magpie’ being relentless. 

Blair is on a mission. She wants this new project to work flawlessly so that she can get the approval of the father she just recently learned she had. But she also wants to keep the town of Blue Sky Bay as charming as it’s always been. She just needs to convince Chef McGrumpy that she has his best interests at heart. 

They bicker, they argue,  until she finally convinces him that he’s getting a great deal. And the town and her new friends are giving her a sense of belonging… Not to speak of the fact that McGrumpy is proving to be swoony, protective and downright irresistible. Things might finally work for both of them.

Until greed and no scruples enter the chat…

I have been in love with Blue Sky Bay since we were introduced to it by our beloved Beefcake. The small town vibes, the ride or die friends, the sense of community. Add to that the hunky chef who’s a devoted big brother, a loyal friend and a top tier book boyfriend and you’re gone. Blair had me rooting for her since the hilarious way she got Bass to finally talk to her. From there, their chemistry is off the charts.

We also get all that with stellar performances by Desirée Ketchum and Jason Clarke. I love when Desirée plays strong and determined (yet a little vulnerable) heroines. Jason is swoony as the green flag grumpy chef. This is also a duet performance. A treat all around! 

What you get: dislike to love, a dedicated hunky chef, a determined lawyer, family trauma, true friends who show up, cheering for your sister, getting added to the girl squad, finding where you truly belong and bantering your way to an HEA. 

I can’t wait to go back to Blue Sky Bay,
