Christina aka Bella is a writer of short smutty romance novels. She joins an app that matches you with people who like to write letters, strictly platonic ones. That’s where she meets Ryan aka Dane, who immediately thinks she is lying on her profile and is very touchy to her. But she takes him down a notch and soon they are exchanging letters and becoming friends. A few months later, she’s going through writer’s block and asks for his opinion on how to write a scene. He is particularly good at doing it and things start to get flirty. They had decided they would never meet but as things progress, they change their minds. There is just one small detail that they are oblivious to: he is her father’s best friend.
This is a short listen (around 2 hours for the audiobook) but surprisingly it’s a very satisfying one. You don’t expect characters to be well developed in such a short book, but not only the H and h are, but also you get a pretty decent group of secondary characters that add to the story. So if you are looking for a short, fun story you will definitely like this one.
Narration: This is narrated by Joe Arden and Muffy Newton (yes, you heard her voice before, just under a different name 😉 ) and they do a great job.
