Shacking Up #3

Author: Helena Hunting

Narrators: Rose Dioro and Jacob Morgan

Meet cute: Rian Sutter is at the supermarket when all of a sudden an irate Pierce Whitfield accuses her of dinging and scratching his Tesla. She has never seen this man in her life.. but the thing is, she has a twin, and chances are her twin did do all those things…

First impressions are hard to forget: Rian thinks Pierce is an @$$hole and Pierce thinks she’s dishonest. However, it’s not everyday that Pierce finds such an attractive and intriguing woman and he decides to pursue her. But, with them both in the same business of flipping houses,  complications are only starting…

I confess I picked this book up because it was a Helena Hunting, narrated by Jacob and Rose. Although it’s not my favorite of the bunch, it’s still a very nice book. Perfect beach read. I would have given it five stars if there was more show and less tell. I wanted to see their romance develop more.

In the beginning I thought I was going to hate the sisters (especially the other twin…) and that I would end finding Pierce the stereotypical cocky, rich guy who’s bored with his lawyer job. I ended up loving Pierce and understanding much of Rian’s psyche, enough to like her too.

Without getting into spoiler territory, I wanted the girls’ parents to get some sort of comeuppance. Anything… and that I didn’t get.

Fun read!

Narration: There I go repeating myself. It’s Rose and Jacob, people. Even if it were a bad book, which it isn’t, I’d still listen to whole thing.
