All Torn Up #2

Kindle e-book

Author: Carian Cole

Tyler Grace is an outcast. He lives in the woods as a recluse to punish himself for the consequences of things he did in his teens and to hide the burn scars that cover one side of his face and his body. These scars are also a consequence of his wild days.

One day, while walking in the woods, he rescues a teenager who was trapped in a hole on the ground and while doing so he kills her captor with his bare hands.

Holly was kidnapped when she was five. Her only contact with another human being was with her kidnapper. She raised herself watching TV, locked in his basement with just a little dog and her fairy tale books as company. She never leaves the basement, unless he wants to punish her by putting her in the hole on the ground in the forest. That has been her life for over a decade… until the long-haired tattooed prince comes to her rescue. She was taken away from the prince  by the ambulance and the cops and she has been hoping to find him for the past two years. She feels like doesn’t belong anywhere in this world. Her parents seem to think her return, though joyful, is also an “inconvenience” to their already reestablished life.  So when a chance meeting brings the Prince back into her life, she’s determined to keep him. They have both been damaged in ways no one else can understand and trusting each other might mean salvation, and love,  for both.

What a touching story! These two are perfect soulmates and their lives are more intertwined than they dare imagine.

It’s so beautiful to see how they care for each other and how their love for each other has the power to heal them. A lovely slow burn story of love and healing. The epilogue (and y’all know I’m a sucker for an epilogue) is a thing of beauty.

Highly recommend!
