Redemption Hills #4

e-ARC and e-ALC provided by author

Author: A. L. Jackson

Narrators: Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais

Tessa Daniels has been “the friend” in the group. Fun, full of sunshine, a loyal friend, ride or die, the best “auntie” to her friends’ adorable children, a loving teacher… That’s why her friends don’t understand why she dates one of the most despicable men in Redemption Hills. She has her reasons. Very strong reasons. Equally befuddled by this is Milo Hendricks, the mountain of a man who is the head bouncer at Absolution. He’s the complete opposite of Tessa: grumpy, dark, broody. He’s always been kind to her, though. The tatted giant has secrets of his own too.

When Tessa’s craptastic boyfriend crosses a line, Milo is there to pick her up, be the friend that she needs. Circumstances will make them team up for appearances’ sake… but neither of them feels like it’s fake anymore and they should probably make things real. Destiny has other plans and comes for them with a vengeance.

Oh, Little Dove! I must confess that I used to find Tessa a little annoying in the previous books, but when we met Milo and Tessa before, we only got a glimpse of who they really were. Tessa has so much more depth than the happy-go-lucky, sort of ditzy redhead she shows the world. My heart melted for the true friendship and the budding love between them. Your heart will break for Milo from page 1 when you learn why he’s so sad and despondent and no one but Tessa can step up and bring love and light into this man’s life. “You’ve got love.” Mad, mad love!

(Yes, there is a twist, and oh boy what a twist!)

Narration: SNAP. CRACKLE. BOOM.

Tessa is brought to life by Samantha Brentmoor and it’s PERFECTION! You get all the spirit, the fun, the sunshine, but also the sadness and the anguish in a beautiful performance!

Connor, Connor, Connor…. definitely the perfect DILF for this one! So tortured, so protective.. and everything is there in his voice.
All the stars.

Possible triggers: parental alienation, blackmail, coercion, toxic relationships, abuse, criminal activities, violence, kidnapping, murder

Thank you, Amy, for the ARC/ALC. All opinions are my own.
