Zanders is the Chicago Raptors’ resident bad boy. It’s his brand: the player everyone loves to hate, the womanizer, the devil-may-care guy. So it plays into the persona to torture the new flight attendant working for the team. Pressing that little button and riling her up has become one of the joys of away games, especially because she really doesn’t take his crap.
Stevie is really happy with her job with the Raptors because it brought her to Chicago, close to her twin brother. Dealing with Zanders is just a blip… But as the days pass, the lines get blurred and she ends up finding out that the “bad boy” is just a brand.
What a lovely book! Some people may have a hard time warming up to Zander’s in the beginning because he’s basically obnoxious but I could tell that there was so much more underneath all that swagger.
Stevie is a beautiful plus size woman with the insecurities that come with it and Zanders just won’t have it. To him, she’s perfection.
This book has a great focus on mental health – dealing with body image issues, pent up rage, panic attacks and anxiety with propriety.
All that is good, but it’s most of all the ROMANCE and seeing those two finding their way to each other that makes it perfect! Plus, there is also a dog! 😉 Several dogs!
