We get briefly introduced to Sully in previous books (she’s Jordan Lawler’s long lost sister, from Then Came Love ) but we get a good perspective of what she had to endure to survive, to escape and to be ready to finally find the life she was meant to live in Redemption Ranch and in the arms of Cowboy Whiskey in the upcoming book.
You don’t have to read the next book to enjoy this one (or vice versa), but the experience is definitely enhanced if you do. And you know Melissa: in 30 pages she sucks you in and breaks your heart. Sully has become one of my favorite Melissa heroines… and I have read ALL her books.
Highly recommend it! It’s out now, so you can read it in time for you to be ready for her HEA with Cowboy.
(Melissa said she wrote this story in 2013 and she was waiting for the right hero for Sully to show up and be the perfect man for this badass broken girl. She was right: Callahan Whiskey is THE ONE.
