The Kings of Ice #1

Audiobook provided by Valentine PR

Author: Kandi Steiner

Narrators: Edward Black and Megan Wicks

When I was offered the chance to listen to this audiobook, I jumped at it: a new to me author and new to me narrators. And hockey. Oh yeah. Boy am I happy I took the chance!

Maven meets Vince Tanev at a fund raiser and she’s not impressed. She thinks he’s just another cocky, arrogant player (in all senses of the word). So when The Tampa Bae Babes get an offer to shadow and chronicle the life of the most likely Rookie of The Year and she’s assigned for the job, she’s not happy. At all. To help fill the arena at home games, she’ll be posting about Vince’s life – all access, 24-7. We all know where this is going, right?

Vince can’t believe he found a stunning woman who’s NOT impressed by him. Totally unaffected. Well, kinda. At first he’s amused but pretty soon he’s downright smitten. But Maven has sworn off athletes (she was badly burned by her relationship with one and the emotional scars are deep) and she’s not falling for his charm.

They might have just met their match…

I had so much fun with Vince and Maven! Their banter is top notch and when they finally give in to the pull between them, it’s fire. Their interactions with the Ospreys are also fun and I can’t wait to read their stories.

Narration: Two new narrators to me and I love finding new favorites! Edward Black does an amazing job as the cocky yet swoony Vince. Megan Wicks has the perfect sultry voice for Maven. I highly recommend the audiobook.

Thank you Kandi Steiner and Valentine PR for the audiobook. I had a blast!
