Ana Torres is a young. ambitious wedding planner who just landed a high profile wedding contract that can put her on the map. Ama has decided a long time that marriage is not for her after seeing her mother get married more than a dozen times.  Marriage? Not for her. Now weddings are her jam. The brides are surprisingly low-maintenance considering the fame aspect, the budget is huge, but they have one specific request : the florist has to be Elliot Bloom. There is a tiny problem there. She dated Elliot in the past and broke his heart. Now they have to work together.

Elliot has worked at his father’s flower shop since forever and when his father passed away, he took over, forgetting his dreams of becoming an architect. He agreed to work on the brides’ wedding and now he has to be around Ama all the time. The brides don’t know they dated and, feeling the chemistry between them, decide to play matchmakers. Why oh why…

Cleverly told through dual timelines (Ama’s POV in the present and Elliot’s POV in the past), we get to slowly figure out how they fell in love, how things went sour and  root for them to get back together.

There’s a lot of wedding planning and a reality show is also part of the “now” storyline. This last part is not my favorite, but it works in the book.

If you love a pining hero who’s broody, tattooed, long-haired and a little grumpy, you’ll swoon for Elliot.

Narration: Expertly narrated by Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton, who make this a wonderful audio experience. Highly recommend the audiobook!
