Thanks, Valentine Pr for the opportunity to read this early.

Cage Reynolds is a grump. Everyone knows it – his family, his clients at his veterinary practice, the school moms, the whole town. The only lightness in his life is his little girl, Gracie. He’s handsome, successful…he’s a catch. But no one will catch him. EVER. You see, he gave away his heart to the love of his life when he was 14: Presley Duncan, his “Raven”. They fell in love as kids but life happened, with all possible curve balls. Now he has a kid and he lives for his kid.

Then Presley comes back to Cottonwood Cove. He has no room in his life for complications and Presley is the woman with the ability to complicate everything, specially when Gracie falls in love with her too…

Second chance romances are hard to write and Laura Pavlov knocked it out of the park with this one. Usually, we have huge events that break up a couple, but here it was being too young, not knowing how to deal with things, family issues… you know, Life. They never not loved each other with all they had, they just didn’t know how to navigate life yet. Presley’s return to Cottonwood Cove gives them a chance to “get it out of their system”, as her stay is temporary. But a love like theirs was never temporary…

I’m obsessed with this one! OBSESSED! This is so well written! The story flows, everything is relatable and believable, which makes you root for them even more.

The whole Reynolds clan is very present in this one and the ribbing and teasing is hilarious and endearing! (The group texts!!) I was completely in love with the relationship between Presley and Gracie! And it was so much fun to see Cage turn into a sappy, puppy-dog-eyed chap!

I’m so sad to say goodbye to Cottonwood Cove and the Reynolds family, but Laura went out with a bang! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

Possible triggers: child abandonment, strained relationship with a parent, dealing with a sick parent, cheating (Secondary character)
