What on earth is she doing in Kismet Beach with her brother, Foxx’s best friend and boss? Soon, Foxx finds himself in the position he quit – Bianca’s bodyguard.
Things are not going well for the Brewer family – their dad is trying to get his claws back into the family business and Bianca is caught in the line of fire so to speak. Jason needs Foxx to protect her but they weren’t expecting that to do so, Foxx would have to end up marrying her!
I absolutely adore the Carmichael’s and I jumped at the opportunity to read this one early! I was already fascinated by the grumpy, mysterious monosyllabic Fox, but this book brings all his back story and it’s as touching as it’s hilarious!
I loved that it’s completely low angst and we see two people who had never contemplated the possibility of a future together being given the chance of a lifetime. And they grab it! I loved how Bianca brings Foxx’s sweet side as she herself is a strong and feisty woman. She’s been through a lot and Foxx is the man to give her everything she didn’t realize she needed.
Like in all Carmichael Family books, we get Sparkles, chicken daddy shenanigans, meddling relatives, hilarious text convos and it all comes together to tie up this wonderful series.
Yes, we finally find out who the mystery person behind the “animal facts” texts is and also why Foxx kept getting keys. You even get a little bit of a shocking turn of events in the end. Just perfect!
I’ll miss the Carmichaels… but we will definitely see them more now that they’re tied to Brewers by marriage! FUN!
