The Marshalls #1

Kindle e-book

Author: Adriana Locke

Chase Marshall is tired.  He’s coming home from work, his shoulder hurts like hell and he knows he’s going home to a rebellious teenage daughter. The last thing he needs is to stop by the side of the road to rescue a spitfire of a woman who’s having car trouble. She’s infuriating to boot! And since Life seems to be really into playing tricks on him, lo and behold, she’s the one who’s supposed to show next morning to be his temporary nanny. This was arranged by his mom, who’s going out of town, and someone needs to watch 14-year-old Kennedy who seems to be determined to get into trouble.

Megan is a little lost. She was laid off from a job she was good at but never really loved and she’s not heartbroken about it. She hasn’t found another job yet, so why not nanny for her mom’s friend’s son? Now why did he have to be the aggravating man who “helped” her the day before?

Chase is afraid of having her right there in his house ALL THE TIME. She’s too tempting… but hey, it’s only a month… right?

All the feels in this one! I loved Chase and Megan, They start out very instalust-y but soon you see they’re like pieces of a puzzle that belong together, along with Kennedy.

It’s a lovely tale of “belonging”, of finding your HOME.

In true Adriana Locke fashion, she makes you fall in love with all the Marshalls. I can’t wait to read more about them.

Possible triggers: mentions of death of a parent, child abandonment, bullying, “surprise child”
