Boston Revs Three Outs #1
ALC provided by Must Love Audio
Author: Jenni Bara
Narrators: Rose Dioro and Connor Crais
Avery Wilson is done dating. She’s starting to believe when her friends say her “picker” is broken because she sure has been picking wrong guys. Exhibit A: her last boyfriend, who was with her because of her father, the coach for the Boston Revs. Yep, broken picker. But her friends decide to take her on a last night on the town and she meets “tall, dark and handsome” and she has mind blowing night in his bedroom… until she finds out who he is.
Christian Damiano didn’t want to be at that bar, but his teammate at the Boston Revs (who’s also his roommate) sort of dragged him. Boy, that was a stroke of luck because he meets “Blondie” and he’s instantly smitten. To his major disappointment, though, she leaves in the middle of the night and he doesn’t even know her name.
Avery and Chris will be reunited when he accidentally hits a flying puffin during a game and the coach calls his daughter, “the bird doctor from the Boston Zoo”, to the field and there she is, Blondie! He learns that she is in a “dating sabbatical” for a year, but for her? He’ll gladly wait a year. They can be friends. He’ll just count every single day for a shot of being hers.
I loved every single thing about this audiobook: he characters, the banter, how the story develops and they become true friends and Puff! I absolutely love a pining hero and Chris is one for the books. I love how they care for each other and how he “sees” her. The amount of times I went “awwww” while listening is just ridiculous!
It’s narrated duet style by two giants who can give you distinct voices for each character and it’s a delight! Rose Dioro can do no wrong in my book and grumpy Connor Crais is something everyone needs to experience. And besotted Connor? Oh boy! Yep, don’t miss this one!
It’s full of fun and tender moments, you can feel the heat coming from these two (even though they are both doing their best to keep their friendship), the puffin is a star and you will get small and grand gestures high and low. I can’t recommend this enough!
Thanks, Jenni and @mustloveaudio! It was utterly delightful spending time with the Revs!
