Rose Hill #3

ALC provided by Must Love Audio

Author: Elsie Silver

Narrators: Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke

When Tabitha loses her sister, she does what she’s always done: she steps up. Now she needs to be there for Milo, her 3-year-old nephew. Much to her surprise and dismay, she finds out her sister left guardianship of Milo to Rhys Dupris, her sister’s landlord and the man who Tabitha blames for her sister falling off the wagon. She’ll fight for the boy and will do anything to keep him.

Rhys is a very reserved man. When he rented the place to Erica he didn’t expect to become her friend or to fall for her adorable little boy. Now that Milo has no parents, he’s adamant he’ll do anything to keep the boy safe and loved, even if it means dealing with the alluring spitfire who blames him for her sister’s death.

When circumstances beyond his control may make him have to leave Canada with Milo, Tabitha proposes the unthinkable: marriage. Since they both will do anything for the boy, they embark in this “fake marriage” that pretty soon turns into something way more real than either one would expect.

Elsie, Elsie, Elsie…You always break my heart in the best ways possible. You make us immediately fall for the determined sister and aunt and you give her an “enemy” who’s impossible not to fall for.

The audiobook is perfection! Performed dual style by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke, it’s chef’s kiss. Samantha’s performance is touching as the brokenhearted chef whose mission in life is to be there for her family. She also brought the sassiness that makes Tabby special . Jason Clarke is always the perfect choice for broody, protective types but he gave me a fun surprise when he morphed into “Wild Side”. I was WHOA!

These characters are layered, especially Rhys and they managed to show us all these nuances.

As we are back in Rose Hill, we also get to visit with The Ball Busters and all our beloved characters. I never thought I’d be touched by fettuccine carbonara or kisses given after a mask is removed. All the starts!

Thanks, Elsie and Must Love Audio for the ALC!
