Yup, it happened: I’m… verklempt! My heart is brimming and I am grinning like a fool. I had been waiting for Clara and Henry to get together since they first traded glances many a book before and it was glorious!
I always get worried about how an author will end a perfect series but this book is an ode to LOVE. We all knew Clara and Henry would be together and, when I say “we”, I mean also the whole Savoie clan and their significant others! It was sweet to see them all ribbing “Clarenry” with their “Finally!”s and “About time!”s. We all cheered!
It all starts literally sweet with a box of cupcakes and an invitation to a romance book club. There would be no way Henry would decline because there is absolutely nothing he won’t do for Clara. She, in her total sweetness and adorable ways, takes a page of Ruben’s book and delivers Henry his own “TIME’S UP.” These two together are perfect and precious – truly meant to be.
If you are reading this review, you are probably familiar with the Savoies and I won’t spoil anything for you in here. If you are not, please go meet them because they are loyal, supportive, inclusive (you can’t find better “found family” than with them) and overall amazing.
It took me a week to read this book because I was holding on to it like a kid who wants to savor the candy as best as they can. I didn’t want to let go. I still don’t.
Juliette, thank you for this wonderful and magical journey. It was PERFECT.
