Narrators: Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York
September, 1692. The small village of Hallows End, on the outskirts of Salem, is the home of a coven of witches. They’re seeing horrible things happening, “witches” being hanged or burned at the stake. For their safety, Jonas decides to cast a spell on the town – they’ll disappear from everyone’s view, cease to exist except for in their bubble, frozen in time. They’ll wait until things quiet down in Salem and then he’ll break the curse. Jonas will carry the burden alone, as no one in town will remember. He’ll be the only one. But more than 300 years pass and Jonas still has not been able to break the curse. The town is living in a “Groundhog Day” all this time, while he sees the wold world change and evolve around them and the town stays in the 1600s.
Until one day, a beautiful red haired witch sees him. There is an irresistible pull between them. They are each other’s mates, for sure. But Jonas is still carrying the burden of the curse and Lucy is dealing with an evil force that killed her mother. Will they be able to break the curse and vanquish evil?
If you read the Bayou Magic series, you’ve met Lucy. She was an interesting character and I loved to see this was her story! We get three cousins here, all witches, who have to break the curse and find out what evil is killing witches each Samhain.
I can’t wait to dive into Breena’s and Lorelei’s stories!
This is pretty much book 1 in a series. There is no cliffhanger per se but the bigger story arc won’t be resolved before book 3.
Narrated by two favorites, Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York. Samantha is rocking all these witches and I am loving it! Sebastian York casting spells? Yes, sir, please and thank you!
