Twisted Series #3

Kindle e-book

Author: Ana Huang

Stella Alonso is sweet, shy and an introvert, even though she’s an fashion influencer. She holds two jobs so that she can pay for her former nanny’s expenses at an assisted living facility. When a stalker she thought was harmless comes back to terrorize her, she’s thrown into the arms of her very dangerous and mysterious landlord.

Christian Harper is gorgeous, charming and lethal. He hasn’t built his empire by following rules. He has no time for foolish things like love, but he’s become obsessed with his neighbor and when the opportunity arises to pose as her fake boyfriend in order to boost her social media presence while protecting her from her stalker, he can’t believe his luck. Stella never felt so safe and protected. Christian never felt anything like what Stella makes him feel. Danger however, seems to follow them, and they will have to fight many things to be together.

I was super excited to get to this one and it didn’t disappoint!! I have to warn you it’s one brick of a book but it’s not a problem for me. Besides, there is no lull or boring moment in all those pages.

Stella is a sweet girl and Christian is so not your cookie cutter romantic hero. He’s morally gray, violent and obsessive, but absolutely charming (in a a non Stockholm Syndrome kinda way lol). If you like the “touch her and I’ll unalive you” ones, he’s your hero. I loved seeing him put his guard down for Stella and only Stella.

We have the stalker plot and the shady stuff happening concerning Harper Security and it’s all exciting. The 3rd act conflict was a little “oh, really?!really?!” for me, but it didn’t take away at all from my enjoyment. I just thought that there were so many other questionable things in Christian’s behavior that could generate the break-up, but it worked.

I loved how it tied up all the stories in the end ( I love me a good epilogue!). Great ending for a wonderful series!
