Lore & Lust #3
Physical book
Author: Karla Nikole
Jun doesn’t date vampires. A very complicated relationship with a volatile purebred as his source has led him to believe that he’d better stay away from his own kind, specially his source, with whom he’s expected to bond. So when Dr. Jae, a human doctor who specializes in Vampire Medicine, shows up in his life, he’s more than willing to pursue a relationship with the alluring human. Now, that’s the problem. You see, humans are not supposed to be this alluring to vampires. Actually, they taste like dirt… So why is he so drawn to this specific human?
In the third Lore & Lust installment, we step away a bit from Haru and Nino (though they are very much present in the story) and follow Jun, the designer and first generation vampire and the human doctor. I’m not going to say much about what happens in this book so as to not spoil anyone, but we get an interesting insight on what might have happened to many of the English “vanished” vampires.
Like the other books, this is very romantic an swoony and you root for them as a couple but specially for Dr. Jan to find his place in life and finally belong.
We also get a hint of what will happen in “The Arrival”, a novella, and I can’t wait to see Nino and Haruka as parents!
Loved it!
Rep and possible triggers: queer romance. Both MCs are biracial. Toxic relationships.
