Kings of Sins #2

Author: Ana Huang

Kai Young is the perfect prim and proper heir apparent to the Young media conglomerate. He thought he still had a few years to claim his place as CEO, but his mother announced an early retirement. He knows he is a shoo-in for the job – it’s his family’s business, he’s prepared, and besides, he never loses. ANYTHING. He definitely won’t lose the board’s vote. He can’t afford any distractions, though. But there she is: Isabella Valencia, the purple-haired, impulsive, full of life bartender at Valhalla.

An aspiring writer, Isabella doesn’t understand how she’s completely attracted to a man that translates classics into Latin FFS! But no matter how hard they try, the pull to each other is irresistible. But being together might cost them everything…

OMG! I’m swooning over these two! Ana Huang is known for irresistibly morally gray heroes and she just gave us Kai Young – the one you can definitely take home to mama. He’s highly educated and witty. He’s uptight but he can make Isabella blush. He’s possessive but supportive. He’s honest to a fault. He only plays dirty in the bedroom. Isabella is not far behind in how amazing she is. She’s funny, feisty, she’s the friend you want to have.

This book is specially good because it has all the Ana Huang’s amazing storytelling abilities while while giving us a couple with a completely different dynamic: THEY TALK. The trials and tribulations come from outside of their relationship and it’s so refreshing. We all saw the amazing tension between them in King of Wrath and when they finally get together, it’s a thing of beauty. Plus, no miscommunication? Yes, please!

It’s hot, steamy and very very swoony! Now, I need the audiobook because all this swoony-ness comes with an Oxford-educated British accent! Oooh!

Absolutely loved it!
