Harmony Cartwright has had enough. It’s been ten years of being ignored and cheated on and that’s not the life she wants for her or her son and so she leaves. After hopping from place to place. she finally moves to a dilapidated house that’s all she can afford because her husband doesn’t sign the divorce papers and doesn’t support his kid. What she hadn’t realized was that she was basically moving next door to Brady.

Brady has hated the Cartwrights ever since their oldest son, who was dating his sister, caused a car accident while driving drunk. In that fateful accident, people died, including the driver, and the Cartwrights covered up their son’s mistake and turned his sister into the town pariah, making her move away. So, he’s horrified to see that Harmony and her kid are living in the “disaster’ house next door.

But when her crappy husband shows up at her door drunk and ready for a fight, Brady can’t stay away. As the days go by, he gets to know the strong woman and the adorable boy she is raising all by herself and he realizes she’s a victim of the Cartwrights too.

It’s hard not to fall for an enemy when that enemy has the exact shape of the hole in your heart you have been wanting to fill forever…. And Harmony and Wyatt fill that hole perfectly.

I always fall for Natasha’s characters and Harmony, Brady (and Wyatt) are no different. I loved how determined and strong the mama bear is and how Brady sort of falls for Wyatt first.

The audiobook is beautifully narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Gregory Salinas. Savannah has been present in my ears for quite some time, but Gregory is a recent addition that I am enjoying immensely. They are perfect as Harmony and Brady.

This is yet another heartwarming small town romance by Natasha, with a family that steps up and embraces new people, an adorable little boy, lots of cakes and pies, a kicksass lawyer you’d want on your side and a lovely HEA.

Thanks, Natasha for the book and audiobook!
